2.0 Professional Development: Advocacy

The 2.0 Steering Committee and Chair Jared Dusharm identified professional development and transportation issues as the main focus for the 2.0 group in 2017. To that end, we will be hosting a series of events geared toward helping you understand the issues that affect Florida’s transportation/logistics industry and how you can impact those outcomes. We hope that this training in the coming year will give you good insight into the process and also help you develop the skills to understand, critique and influence policymaking at the local, state and federal level.

Our first meeting is on January 17 in Orlando. Please join us at 11:30 to learn more about the issues and policies that govern our industry at the state level. You will come away from this luncheon meeting with a better understanding about how federal regulations percolate down to state-level enforcement and the opportunities for you to help influence policy-making that impacts your day-to-day business.
