2018 Herman Fauss Scholarship Information

{2018 Scholarship Winner(s) will be recognized on stage at the Florida Truck Driving Championships Awards Banquet on June 9, 2018 in Daytona Beach.}

This is a yearly scholarship program sponsored by the Florida Trucking Association Safety Management Council. We encourage Safety and HR managers to spread the word about this worthy program throughout your driver ranks. In a nutshell, the scholarship is open to graduating high school seniors who intend to enter a technical school or college within two years of graduation.

Eligibility requirements

  1. Be the child or grandchild of a full-time commercial vehicle driver: employed for at least one year by a current dues-paying member of the Florida Trucking Association, and dispatched from a terminal in Florida;
  2. Be a 2018 graduating high school senior, planning to attend a technical school, college or university within two (2) years of application for the scholarship;
  3. Have a grade point average of 2.5 (C+) or higher.
